Removal of tree prunings

​The Netanya Municipality guidelines regarding removal of tree prunings: Where can we put piles of prunings? When does the removal take place? How often? and other relevant information

Clarifications and guidelines

• Residents must separate bulky waste into two piles
• Leftover leaves and grass clippings should be packed into bags close to the pile of tree prunings, on the edge of the sidewalk (pavement) next to your house, the evening before removal.
• Tree prunings include: branches, leftover leaves, grass clippings, etc.
• Household waste includes: household furniture, garden furniture, electric appliances, parts of pipes, etc.
• Piles of prunings must not be left under electric wires or near water pipes
• Only put out the tree prunings and bulky waste the evening before the designated Municipality collection day.
• Taking out unbound garden waste (leftover leaves, grass clippings, etc.) the night prior to removal is strictly prohibited, unless it is packed in bags.
• Prunings can be up to one quarter of a truckload, by arrangement with the Municipal hotline.
• Taking out the contents of an entire home the night before removal is strictly prohibited.
• It is permissible to put out prunings: From plants/ trees – only 2 bags/ Household items – only 2-3 objects
• For removal of additional items, you must privately order a waste removal container. For apartment renovations, the contractor must remove the waste.
• Do not block pathways and driving areas with the tree prunings and/or bulky waste.

Mondays 

Tree prunings are removed in the following neighborhoods: Neve Itamar, Neot Ganim, Kiryat Rabin, Mishkenot Zevulun, Train Station, Shaar Ha'Ir, Kiryat Hasharon, Sapir Business and Technology Park, and Kiryat Eliezer Industrial Zone.

Boundaries for removal on Mondays:

Tuesdays

Tree prunings are removed in the following neighborhoods: Pardes Hagedud, Machnes, Kiryat Sanz, Neve Shalom, Ein Hatchelet and the city center – from Herzl St. and northwards, including Herzl St.

• South: Herzl Street
• West: Beach front, David Hamelech, Nitza Blvd.
• North: Havatzelet Hasharon

Wednesdays

Tree prunings are removed in the following neighborhoods: Agamim, Ramat Efraim, Ben Zion, Nof Hatayelet, Neve Oz, Galei Hayam, Tovrok, Ramat Chen, Geva, Ben Zvi, Ramat Yadin, Neot Shaked and the city center – from Herzl St. southwards.

Boundaries for removal on Wednesdays:

• West: Beachfront, Ben Ami Blvd., Ben Gurion Blvd. 
• East: Kvish Hahof
• South: Hahartzit St., Irus Ha’argaman
• North: Herzl St., Agamim neighborhood
  

Thursdays

Tree prunings are removed in the following neighborhoods: Givat Ha’Irusim, Ramat Poleg, Neot Menachem Begin, Kiryat Nordau, Neot Golda, Hahof Hayarok.

​Cranes for removal of tree prunings

Netanya has several cranes for removal of tree prunings. The cranes operate in accordance with the days for removal noted above, and the city being divided into areas. During the day for removal in a specific area the cranes operate from 6 a.m. until the end of the working day, with removal of tree prunings and of bulky waste being carried out separately.

Tractors and trucks for removal of tree prunings

Operating alongside the cranes are a L90 power shovel and a dump truck (with a 36 cubic meter crate installed on it). These vehicles are designed to remove tree prunings and bulky waste from open areas which the cranes cannot reach.
