The Netanya Sport and Physical Education Department offers a wide range of sporting activities to the city’s residents, a range which enables every child, adolescent, and adult to participate in sports according to their individual needs, preferences, and abilities.

The department is responsible for planning and execution of all the sporting activities in the education system, opening sport centers and afterschool clubs for the entire population, planning and execution of local, national, and international sporting events in the various branches of sport, the sport facilities in Netanya, and the city’s 21 competitive sport organizations.

The department operates to expand the range of sporting events for those with disabilities and to include these populations in existing sporting activities in the community. The activities take place throughout the city and at subsidized prices.
