Emergency and Safety Division

​The Emergency and Safety Division, through the Emergency Services Department, is responsible for coordinating the issues in the municipality in connection with emergency situations, during both regular and emergency times: terrorist attacks, natural disasters, collapse of buildings, collapse of rocks on the seashore, earthquakes, injuries from hazardous materials, military incidents in any part of the country, a general war, absorption of people evacuated from outside or inside the city, maintenance of public shelters, operating an operations center and municipal front command headquarters. 

The municipality website has a list of shelters according to address, and lists of essential services: health clinics, pharmacies, grocery chains, filling stations, and more, instructions for preparing for emergencies and preparing the protected space, guidance for preparations for earthquakes and tsunamis, information about education services during emergencies, and more.​
