Now that summer vacation is over, the Netanya Conservatory is kicking off a new year and inviting children in Netanya to learn about the wonderful worlds of music The Netanya Conservatory is a professional music education center, which provides extensive music education to children and teens between the ages of 4-18. The conservatory is under the oversight of the Ministry of Education and receives support from Netanya Municipality and the Netanya Heichal Hatarbut Association. The Conservatory is Netanya's music education center, beginning with elementary schools, music classes in junior high schools and music tracks in high schools. Now that the Conservatory has become part of the school system and the Musical School program has been launched, students are exposed to playing bowed string instruments, wind instruments and percussion instruments. Conservatory students participate in orchestras, choirs and chamber music ensembles and also have academic studies (ear training, theory and music literature). Our students have won both local and international contests, have won America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholarships, are accepted to the National Youth Symphony, the Young Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and the IDF Orchestra. The orchestras and choirs perform internationally and have won numerous prizes. Many of our students continue their studies at music academies in Israel and abroad. While studying here, the conservatory becomes the students' second home. They are involved in the city's communal life and play an important role in shaping the cultural scene. Conservatory Director Motti Miron said, "I invite the children of Netanya to become part of the Conservatory's success story. You can learn to play any musical instrument and participate in choirs, orchestras and various ensembles."
