As it does every year, Netanya Municipality and Heychal Hatarbut are celebrating the city's cultural and musical activity through a vibrant festival for the entire family, to be held at various centers throughout Netanya between May 14-21.
For the first time, along with a diverse array of concerts, the festival will incorporate the various forms of art.
Interactive art activity for the entire family, a colorful farmers market, a wine and cheese tasting fair, unique exhibits along with a concert of percussion instruments for the entire family, and a moving tribute to Ehud Manor with the following performers: Amir Dadon, Adi Arad, Vered Shmueli, are just part of the wide range of activity visitors will enjoy at the various festival sites throughout Netanya.
The uniqueness of the combination of music and art will be reflected in a fascinating exhibition at Netanya Stadium about the dialog between art and music through the work of six installation, video, sculpture and sound artists and the animation project of the Revolution Orchestra that will host the string musicians of the Netanya Conservatory in a festive concert, against the backdrop of animated videos that will be screened on the digital screens in Netanya's new interactive square.
Throughout the entire festival, leading foreign graffiti artists will create on the facades of buildings on Herzl Street, the city market buildings at the Hagag Youth Center. The general public is invited to come and see their work.
City Councilwoman in Charge of Culture and Events, Shoshana (Chuchi) Zilberberg, said, "The uniqueness of the festival this year is the wonderful connection between two important, interesting and attractive areas for the diverse general public: music and art. I'm certain that many residents, of all ages and backgrounds, will find the festival very interesting and truly enjoy it."
