The Wingate swimming pool is the official host for the 17th Synchronized Swimming Comen Cup
The competition will continue for 5 days and will host 250 guests and 200 swimmers from 9 different countries.
On Thursday, July 17th, the 17th Synchronized Swimming Comen Cup will commence at the Wingate swimming pool. The international Comen Cup is a competition for national teams from Mediterranean states for ages 13-15.
The competition was organized by the Organization of Mediterranean States and will continue for 5 days. 250 guests are expected to arrive as well as 200 swimmers from nine states:

- Two weeks ago the Comen team from Israel arrived from a practice competition in Croatia, where it won third place in the duet category, and first place for in the group exercises and combinations.
- The preparations are on their way for the 2008 Olympic Games, where
Synchronized swimming is a combination of swimming, movement and music and is considered one of the hardest sports to master. Synchronized swimming demands highly developed skills of swimming, coordination, spatial orientation, diving, flexibility, dancing and team work.
The competition is sponsored by the Israeli Swimming Association, the Israeli Synchronized Swimming Association and in cooperation and support of the Sports Department, the Tourism Department and the City Spokesman in the
Admission is free, and everyone is invited to come and watch the contest and cheer on the Israeli athletes.

18:00 – the opening ceremony
18:30 – the early competition, combination category (up to 10 swimmers presenting an exercise combined with solo, duet and group performance.)
Friday, July 18th
10:00 – early competition, the duet category (two swimmers presenting a perfectly coordinated exercise.)
18:00 early competition, groups (up to 8 swimmers presenting a perfectly coordinated exercise with integrated elements.)
Saturday, July 19th
10:00 – the early competition, the solo category
18:00 final competition, the combination category
20:00 an award ceremony of the finalists in the combination category
Sunday, July 20th
18:00 – the final competition, the duet category
20:0 – an award ceremony for the finalists in the duet category
