Corona Smart – 10 principles for intelligent management
As Israelis, we have learned how to save water and how to lead our lives in the hot sun – now we will learn how to behave smartly during the coronavirus period with ten simple principles
1. Are you in doubt? Without a doubt
Anyone who feels unwell doesn’t meet others. Even if you are 99% certain it isn’t coronavirus. Without a doubt. Stay home.
2. It’s safer outdoors
Every meeting, gathering, conversation, prayer, work meeting, physical exercise, party, wedding, coffee with your friends – is safer in the open air, on a balcony or in the park. In 2020 – we continue to do things, but outside.
3. It’s safer from a distance
When meeting with one person, in a group, studying, praying, at the beach – keep your distance. Speak to each other from 2 meters away. In meetings, arrange the chairs far apart. This way we protect both others and ourselves.
4. It’s safer online
In today’s world, you can do a lot online. Work meetings, working from home, courses, shopping – do it online.
5. It’s safer to keep it smaller
Do you need everyone at every meeting or event? Can’t you do it in a smaller group? We will discover that we can do a lot of things in smaller groups. No one needs to get offended, we’re protecting them too.
6. It’s safer with your elbow
Handshaking is passé. And we’ll leave hugging and kissing Grandma and Grandpa for another time. Right now, we will adopt new habits, like elbow bumps.
7. It’s safer to keep things separate
In the army and at school, we used to eat from the same plate. During the coronavirus period, we keep things separate. Everyone has her own utensils for eating and drinking. Towels too. Even at family gatherings with Grandpa and Grandma we don’t eat from the same plate or use the same towel.
8. It’s safer to protect ourselves
We can be infectious even when we don’t know that we are sick. Therefore, masks protect from infection. It’s important to wear a mask, particularly in closed places, such as elevators, stores, health fund branches, parking lots, and offices. If we protect others, they will protect us.
9. Clean hands are safer
The virus is spread by touching droplets. Therefore, hand washing, using alcogel, and greater awareness not to put your hands into your nose and mouth, will help us prevent the virus entering our bodies.
10. Coronavirus isn’t instead of leading a healthy lifestyle
Coronavirus is dangerous, but it’s important to remember that there are many other diseases that still exist, and therefore it’s important to maintain a broad awareness of health – get a medical examination when needed, exercise regularly, and ensure suitable nutrition.
