| Every Israeli citizen has the right to receive information from a public authority in accordance with the Freedom of Information Law (1998.) The public authority is obliged to reveal all relevant information for which the public is entitled to know, in its field of jurisdiction, unless otherwise prohibited from doing so.
Citizens are required to submit a petition for information in writing or through the Internet to the person responsible for implementation of the law. The petitioner should write his full name and the specifics of his request. There is no obligation to detail the reasons for the request.
