Ceremony for the award of the Mayor’s Prize for Outstanding Volunteers will take place this Tuesday, August 8 at the Arik Einstein Cultural Center – Meet the exceptional.
In its finest tradition the Netanya Municipality will hold the ceremony for award of the Mayor’s Prize for Outstanding Volunteers. The ceremony will take place this Tuesday, August 8 at the Arik Einstein Cultural Center in Ir Yamim, in the presence of the Mayor, Miriam Feierberg-Ikar, the outstanding volunteers and their families. Outstanding employees:
Rivka Avram - volunteer at the “Coffee & Chat” Group of the Hadassah Women’s Organization, Shoshana Netanya Branch. One of the dedicated volunteers, gives of her time with all her heart, has great organizational skills, is responsible, always thinks how to improve the activity for women and always wants to make them feel good.
Yossi Wiesel - volunteer at the city’s Museum, scans and catalogues the museum's material and looks after the place with great devotion.
Avraham Saltzman - a volunteer at the “Bayit Cham” club in the Azorim neighborhood. Gives patience and limitless sensitivity and empathy in his work, helps to manage the place and in the organization of the daily program and meals.
Moshe Yaneh - started to volunteer when he was still in 10th grade at the age of 16 at the Pediatric Department of Laniado Hospital. Always available and committed to all the work required, instigates innovations and ideas to improve the place. During leave from the army he took care to spend his time in the department, with limitless giving and good relations with both patients and the team. Since he is a French speaker, this helps conversations between French speaking patients and the doctors. His activities created a love for the medical profession. He hopes to be accepted to study medicine and we all wish him success.
Malka Sudri - for over ten years has supported families who need her in the Rehabilitation Department of the National Insurance Institute. She recently added to her activities assistance in the “Older Brother” for an 11 year old girl. Develops her strengths and instills in her self-confidence and faith. Since she is fluent in English and French she often provides support at the Municipal Support Center and helps them in their work.
Motti Ozer - has been a volunteer at the charitable organization “Netina”. His initial activity was to provide a great deal of work in operating the computer there. However, above all he assists with all his energy in the successful operation of the place, distributing food parcels to the needy. He enlists his colleagues for the distribution to ensure they are brought to the needy on time.
Geula Oshri - a volunteer for 22 years at IDF bases, at her own initiative and with her own skills has ensured that the bases she deals with are considered the most organized in the IDF for emergencies.
Eli Friedman - every Sunday since 2008 Eli comes to the “Barak” club, for children on welfare in grades 4 - 6 to teach them basketball. On these occasions he also helps them with their lessons, instills in his students values and love for one’s fellow and represents for them someone to emulate and a source of inspiration.
The Outstanding Company prize was won by HP Scitex and Yedei Ratzon.
