Celebrating Purim safely!
A good costume is a safe costume!
• Buy a costume that has been approved by the Standards Institution of Israel and that is labeled as required by law: the details of the manufacturer and importer as well as warnings in Hebrew must appear clearly on a tag attached to the costume.
• Masks are not recommended for children under the age of 8, because they limit their field of vision.
• When making costumes on your own: do not use flammable materials such as cotton wool, feathers, and do not use long shoelaces or string that could get wound around the neck.
• Instruct children to remove the costume and all of the accessories (wigs, masks) when using playground equipment.
